Inspired by former Exeter College student Michael Caines MBE, the Michael Caines Academy nurtures the region’s future generation of talented restaurateurs, chefs and waiters. High profile experiences, challenging practical and theoretical workshops and masterclasses from the best, will drive students to achieve excellence in hospitality.
The academy is a chance for students studying the VRQ Level 1 or VRQ Level 2 Professional Cookery courses to be selected to take part in the specialist opportunities that the Michael Caines Academy offers. These include a range of trips and opportunities to network with high profile professional chefs within the industry.
Across each property within the collection we raise money for local charities and community causes through a discretionary charity donation across all restaurant bills as well as organising and supporting charity fundraising events at the restaurants or through Michael's own activities as Patron of a number of charities.
